CORE Electric Cooperative Pine Junction District Operations Facility, Pine, CO
Legacy Mechanical performed the full Mechanical and Plumbing Scope for a new ground up construction CORE Electric utility provider operations facility that housed transportation and maintenance equipment. The project consisted of a main office area with multiple offices, meeting rooms, break room and mechanical spaces. Additionally, a large warehouse area was constructed as part of a pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) where Legacy Mechanical performed all air distribution, domestic water, sanitary, storm, refrigeration piping, compressed air, and even coordinated construction of a car wash added to the project. The project took place in Pine, Colorado where more logistical challenges were present with getting material, labor, and subcontractors to the jobsite. Other challenges included excavation through bedrock for the entire footprint of the underground plumbing systems. Also, setting large HVAC equipment and 5000 gal plumbing tanks to plumb the car wash independent of the local utility water source.
Despite the challenges outlined above, the overall schedule remained unaffected. Legacy Mechanical successfully managed these issues, executing the project seamlessly and earning praise from both customers and stakeholders.

“Our crew approached the CORE Conifer District Operations Facility with grit and professionalism. They worked through tight coordination and tough install conditions to deliver dependable mechanical systems, keeping the project on schedule with solid craftsmanship and steady teamwork.”
